No Sweat Knitting Fixes Class

Knitting mistakes are bound to happen from time to time.  A twisted stitch here, a dropped stitch there can often stop you in your row not knowing quite what to do next. And then there are those big mistakes that often result in putting a project in a UFO pile (unfinished objects).  Learning easy ways to fix mistakes, often without ripping back will keep you knitting and finishing projects.

Dates: This is a two session class Saturdays April 19 & 26 from 10am - noon

Cost: $60

Prerequisites: This class is for the knitter who has enough experience knitting to recognize mistakes.

Skills Taught: Different fixing processes - tinking, frogging, life lines, picking up stitches, twisted stitches and extra stitches, dealing with missing or too many stitches, reversing leaning decreases and cables.

Homework: To be done before session meets. Using a light color worsted weight wool cast on 20 stitches and work in stockinette for 2 inches. Do not bind off.  Please bring to class:

  • Swatch.
  • Knitting tool kit: crochet hook, cable needle, tapestry needle, small ball of yarn from stash.
