Magic Loop Sock Class taught by Amy Gallmeyer
If you love the idea of hand knit socks but hate fussing with double point
needles this is the class for you. Learn to knit a classic sock from the top
down using the magic loop method. This technique uses one long circular
needle instead of four double points. No sock knitting experience is
necessary for this class.
Prerequisites: Must be an intermediate knitter, comfortable with casting on, knit and purl stitches,
increases and decreases and binding off. These concepts will not be taught in class.
Skills Taught: Top down sock shaping using magic loop technique.
Dates: Saturday, August 8, 15, 22 from 1 - 3 pm.

Class Size: Minimum of 4 students.
Materials: To be bought at GarenHuis Yarn Studio.
Sock weight yarn that has a gauge of 7 stitches per inch, approximately 400 yards.
32 - 40 inch circular needle in size that allows you to get a gauge of seven stitches to an inch.
Stitch markers.
Homework: To be done prior to first class, determine needle size needed to get a gauge of 7
