Handmade Metal Buttons by Wandering Dog Metal Art
Wandering Dog Metal Art carefully crafts each metal adornment in a studio tucked away in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Buttons and other personal embellishments should not just be an afterthought. When you have spent so much time designing and creating a garment, it should be finished with something special. Every design is inspired by the surrounding natural communities of Vermont and rest assured; one of the wandering dogs amongst the property certainly helped in the creation of your piece(s)!
All metal used in the buttons is lead free and of jeweler quality. No harsh commercial aging agents are used; if not aging naturally, the power of vinegar and/or heat is used. When etching, an electrical current is used in order to etch the plates. No acid is used in this process. The etching bathused is good for a lifetime, unlike acid that is good for one use and then is toxic. The metalworking process is as green as possible.
